The Early Bird Gets the Grief

Last week’s blog reminded me of another persistent/persnickety client. For approximately six weeks, she’d call me three-four times a week in the afternoon, right before she left her office, to see if her mortgage application was approved.

Each time she called, I’d say, “I don’t know. Call your mortgage rep.”

One morning, I received word from said rep that she’d been denied, but could reapply with a co-signer. I called her to share the disappointing news, and she had the temerity to tell me, “You didn’t have to ruin my day. I have a bunch of meetings, and now I’ll be distracted.”

Bet you won’t be surprised she had no success finding a co-signer for the mortgage.
