Sharing Is Caring

During a seminar, the speaker remarked on how it’s messy and undesirable for a seller to remain past closing, even if the contract spells out all the terms of a short stay.

He then related how an attorney representing a seller called him to ask if his client would allow the homeowner to remain in the house for some indeterminate time after he bought it.

“What was she thinking?” the attorney wondered aloud as he shrugged and looked down towards his notes.

“She was looking for a buyer with benefits!” shouted someone in the audience.
