Back in My Day…

The Seller’s attorney confessed that his clients (and counsins) knew their solar greenhouse didn’t have the proper permit or municipal approval. “They think that’s crap to get taxed on, and frankly, so do I,” said the geriatric-ish sounding counselor.

“Listen,” he says, “see if your clients will take 900 bucks from my clients at closing to forget about the greenhouse.”

I responded that I needed to see if the offer was OK with my clients, who would then have to check it out with their lender.

“Whaaaaaaaaaat?” He sounded as if he was mocking me. “When I was in practice, I told my clients what was acceptable, and we sure didn’t get the banks involved!”
