A colleague spotted me the other day while I was running an errand in her building. The inevitable “How’s it going?” question was asked, to which she replied with the title of today’s blog.
“I am just covering my costs these days. I’m not making any money, or saving anything. There just doesn’t seem to be business out there.”
I thought of this excellent attorney when I attended a planning session at the Bar Association for upcoming attorney education programs. One proposal was “Retirement Options for Attorneys.” When I heard that topic, I wondered if a) working until you drop dead or b) switching professions will be discussed as realistic options.
