Tossed Salad Friday

~~Tee-hee, I’m giggling with glee. That home field advantage the Yankees coveted, and their fans boasted about, worked out how?

~~I got some interesting reactions to my “nudie” blog yesterday. Not that many people are tolerant, or live & let live just isn’t funny enough to write about.

One e-mail just blurted out, “EEEEWWWWWWWW!” Another asked, “If she sits around the house naked all day, what would she do if we have another earthquake?” My favorite, though, was “What’s her address? I don’t want my kids trick or treating there.”

~~Do you feel like the Occupy Wall Street demonstration, as well as all the other ones across the country, are calling for you to join in somehow? I do.  We are not a country superior in any way to all the others whose citizens are rising up and protesting inequities, including representation without compassion for the plight of those who are struggling. How can 99% of the people sit back and watch the top 1% enjoy their bounties?

I was angered by a smug man who sneered at the thought that wide-spread uprisings could occur in our country. “We,” he intoned, “are civilized people.”  “Really?” I countered. “And the Greeks are not?”

This is our American Autumn.  It could turn back into a Spring of new beginnings if the powers-that-be recognize they serve at the will of the people, for the good of the people (and I mean people-people, not corporations, my friend). Or, it could become a festering Winter of discontent, as the working class falls further and further behind.

I can’t stand idly by anymore. It’s time to get off the soap box and hit the street. You can applaud, flip protesters the bird, or join in-- it’s your choice. Just do something!

~~Yom Kippur begins this evening, and on the Day of Atonement, I’ll be contemplating a world of peace and equality. If there is a central mover & shaker directing our universe, I think our time for suffering has expired. Don’t you?

If you observe Yom Kippur, have an easy fast. And everyone, have a great, extended weekend! The Rangers start their season today, and the Jets need to ensure that theirs is not lost at Foxboro on Sunday. See you Tuesday.

Check out my house for sale in Newsday article about Old Bethpage
Imagine that. Maurice Deane and I are in the news at the same time.

I don't know many naturists, but in certain settings they don't mind being seen without clothing.

This woman apparently enjoyed being unclothed, but didn't want her neighbors peeking!

I don't subscribe to Newsday or Cablevision, so what did Maurice Deane do? And can you post a link to your article?

so we are now graduates of the Maurice A. Deane (MAD) School of Law of Hofstra University.

My house is just listed in a piece about Old bethpage, as being for sale.

Have a good year.
