Tossed Salad Friday

~~~A friend’s comment on my latest Huffington Post blog http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lita-smithmines/home-sellers-in-the-mood-_b_844234.html was, So you’re more counselor than lawyer these days, huh?  Good article.
My reply was, Yes, that's me.  I hold hands and sit by the bedside of my dying deals!
~~~I went to a motivational seminar sponsored by my Bar Association.  The speaker was excellent, his message was uplifting and exceedingly do-able, yet I almost didn’t stay. As I walked in, I saw two things:  the evening was underwritten by a private wealth management arm of a major institution, and the author’s books were available for sale at $20 each. The cold-sweat irony that almost caused me to bolt was that I used to utilize the sponsor’s financial services, but now I couldn’t even afford to buy one of the speaker’s books.

~~~I read this on twitter, and sadly, agree: @MattGoldich If the US govt shuts down, ppl will shrug & go about their day. If NFL season is canceled, there'll be rioting in the streets.
~~~If you are on Facebook and/or twitter, so am I! Find me on Facebook at http://tinyurl.com/y77wl4f and twitter http://twitter.com/BoatingTimesLI (@BoatingTimesLI). While most of my Facebook postings may be boating related, I do stray far afield on twitter. I would love to follow back readers of my blog.

~~It’s not Passover yet (thank goodness), but I found this Pesach video brilliant!

Have a terrific weekend! Baseball is back and the Knicks are playoff bound, while the Rangers coughed it up big-time last night, leaving their future iffy at best.  And if you remember what I wrote about not caring about the NCAA tourney, substitute The Masters this week.  But if you’re a fan, enjoy!

LET’S GO METS!

LET’S GO RANGERS!

GO NY GO!
