Happy, Happy, Happy Hanukkah!

Hanukkah started last night, and I hope that this Festival of Lights finds you surrounded by loved ones and looking forward to miraculous times ahead. I certainly am hopeful, in my realist-sort-of-way, that things won't get any worse, and may eventually improve.

Yesterday, I had two mini-miracles of my own.  One I can’t write about freely, because to do so might expose me to a charge of slander against someone who encapsulates all the bad traits that make many people detest lawyers.  But he totally got (or didn’t get, actually) what was due him, thanks to his own ineptitude and sloppiness.  He makes it harder for people like me to do my job, and I can’t say I am in the least bit sorry that he was not rewarded for his jack-assery.

I am free to describe the second teeny miracle:  a check for $7.40 came in the mail, as compensation for some long lingering class action suit I didn’t even know that I was a part of.  Woo-hoo!

Since I am so much more ebullient today than I thought I'd be when I blogged yeterday, I even feel like sharing a song:

I didn’t blog about Hanukkah on Huffington Post this year, but I did in 2009. In case you weren’t reading me then, here you go:  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lita-smithmines/sell-off-the-yarmulkes-he_b_386219.html
