It’s A Puzzlement

A former client calls me in the last week of February, saying he’s about to list his home for sale.  I tell him I appreciate the heads-up and will get his closed file out of storage.

He tells me there’ll be no rush as the agent wants to wait to take a photo of his house when all the snow is gone, so she’ll wait until mid to late March.

I ask him why he’d possibly want to wait that long, and why his agent just can’t update the photo when spring finally arrives, and he says “I don’t know.”

My head hurt just typing this.

Maybe the agent should just draw up a nice cartoon version. You know...with a big, happy sun, maybe some blue and purple birds with little music notes coming out of their beaks to indicate the happy songs they're singing...

What a charming alternative to late winter reality!
