Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing, Baby

A seller-client of mine called to see if it was OK for her to remove a few of the things that were in the house when she went to contract (washer, dryer, vent hood, pan rack) and replace them with “cheaper but close substitutes”.

Since she called me for my advice, I reminded her that the contract dated May 14th said the items were “as exists” at that time, not replacements.  And that if there were photographic evidence on the real estate broker’s website as to how the house looked at that time, she’d have  no leeway if the buyers caught on.

I don’t know what she’s going to do, but I did my job.
