Step In Time

I had an inquiry from a person trying to sell her house, asking if I thought buyers would be inquiring about her house’s “carbon footprint, whatever that is”. Seems she’d seen it on HGTV and wanted my opinion.

As I can’t see why an environmentally conscious buyer wouldn’t ask, I told the seller she should calculate her household’s footprint as best she could, in case the discussion arose.  I sent her to the Nature Conservancy site:

If you also want to see an estimate of how many tons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases you generate by your lifestyle and household choices, whether or not you’re planning to sell, the link also has good information on ways we can all reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Have a great weekend!  No boat shows for me, though the next issue of the magazine will go to press on Monday morning.  I hope to catch the Rangers’ games while avoiding any mention of the Knicks!
