You Say You Want a Revolution?

The buyers’ attorney was a very chatty guy. When the closing reached a lull, he started talking to fill the silence.

As it was a few days before the end of the year, he asked my very mature client, “Are you making any resolutions?” I knew this 80-something-year-old woman was hard of hearing, so I wasn’t surprised that she mis-heard his question.


“No;  I’m too old for revolution. And anyway, Nixon’s dead.”
