We’ve Got 99 Problems

The sellers’ attorney was an absolute nightmare. She was alternately confrontational and contradictory, and it seemed as if the bottom line was not a deal, but rather a demolition of all the buyers’ contractual rights and safeguards.

My clients finally had enough, and told me to they’d be looking elsewhere in the community for a house. They found another house two blocks over, but there was a catch:  the new sellers were represented by Ms. Pugnacious, too!

While griping to the real estate agent about the odds of two homeowners hiring this aggressive attorney, especially as she seemed so inexperienced, he chucked deeply and a bit ominously. “You don’t know that area well, do you? It’s very [insert regionally religious group here] and they support their own, especially their relatives.”

“Don’t tell me…” I started to say, before the agent interrupted.

“Yep. I’m afraid this bitch might be related to 99% of the neighborhood!”
