Mortgage, Proposal, Deed

The closing was in a nondescript office, in an ordinary building, and not one single moment of the transaction stood out as anything other than run-of-the-mill.

That is, until the moment when, right in the middle of the closing, a buyer stood up, then dropped to one knee. He removed a box from his pocket, gently grasped the other buyer’s hand, and proclaimed, “We bought a house! Now let’s get married!”

What a remarkable day.

If this is who I think it is, you would have let out as big an "Awwwwwwwwww" as I did at the closing!

Everyone was floored, and on the way out, my client asked, "Does that happen a lot?" I replied, "Never before when I was in the room."

It made a lot of things in my life more bearable, just to see the pure joy these buyers were envisioning for their new home.
